China-based household appliance manufacturer Haier announced on September 25 an agreement reached with US Cisco Systems to collaborate on developing home and individual networking systems, as well as jointly expanding the Chinese and overseas markets, according to Xinhua News Agency. The two companies expect to share know-how in business practices, and Cisco will provide Haier with assistance in network-related technologies. Further details of the agreement were not yet disclosed.
